Welcome to the destined for success podcast.
Jennifer Takagi:I'm your host, Jennifer Takagi and this podcast used to be
Jennifer Takagi:called new manager media manage right from the start. Many of
Jennifer Takagi:the concepts are the same, that there's a little shift. There's
Jennifer Takagi:a shift because I know we are all destined for success. And I
Jennifer Takagi:want to help you find the fastest, smoothest way to reach
Jennifer Takagi:your highest best as quickly as possible. Join me in today's
Jennifer Takagi:episode, where you're going to come up with new ways to build
Jennifer Takagi:your skills, and influence others to make the impact you
Jennifer Takagi:desire to make. I look forward to connecting with you soon.
Jennifer Takagi:Welcome to destined for success. I'm your host, Jennifer Takagi,
Jennifer Takagi:and today is episode 251. Can you even believe it? I mean, it
Jennifer Takagi:seems like just yesterday, I started this podcast. And here
Jennifer Takagi:we are episode 251. And there have been over 20,000 unique
Jennifer Takagi:downloads. I don't know exactly what that means. But let me just
Jennifer Takagi:say I'm excitable about it. It sounds fabulous. Over 20,000
Jennifer Takagi:unique downloads. Today, I want to talk about unleashing your
Jennifer Takagi:potential. With weekly clearing sessions. I have a really deep
Jennifer Takagi:seated question for you. And that is what is holding you
Jennifer Takagi:back. What is holding you back from reaching your highest level
Jennifer Takagi:of success. I've really struggled with how I can help
Jennifer Takagi:people how I can help them the most how I can show up most
Jennifer Takagi:authentically and have it be affordable. There's this,
Jennifer Takagi:there's this whole mindset out there, you hire someone, and you
Jennifer Takagi:just really get going good in it and they say oh, if you don't
Jennifer Takagi:stay with me, the prices are going up. That just kind of
Jennifer Takagi:thing bothers me. And it bothers me when things are so
Jennifer Takagi:financially out of reach for most people who I would want to
Jennifer Takagi:help and work with that they can't do it. And it's like, oh,
Jennifer Takagi:I don't think that's my purpose. I don't think that's why I'm
Jennifer Takagi:here. And I was very fortunate to be at a podcast content
Jennifer Takagi:creation camp in November of 2022. And I hung out with
Jennifer Takagi:Kimberly Crowe, most of the time, there were other people
Jennifer Takagi:there. But she and I had some pretty great discussions about
Jennifer Takagi:my business, how I could help people what I could do. And the
Jennifer Takagi:benefit of hanging out with somebody who's done stuff that
Jennifer Takagi:you haven't done is that taking give you ideas that you would
Jennifer Takagi:have never thought of. And I love it Steve Jobs, one of the
Jennifer Takagi:things he used to say was, you know, creativity is connecting
Jennifer Takagi:the dots nobody else saw or you had it recognized already. So
Jennifer Takagi:Kimberly said, start a membership, how to be $49 a
Jennifer Takagi:month, I meet once a week, and clear those trapped emotions
Jennifer Takagi:that are holding people back. And I was like, Oh, I can't do
Jennifer Takagi:that. I can't do that in a group. I know I will. Let's talk
Jennifer Takagi:about some pushback people. And then it hit me. I can reach more
Jennifer Takagi:people, I can help more people. If I have a very affordable
Jennifer Takagi:group program, then I can try to leverage my time because there
Jennifer Takagi:are so many hours in a day. Leveraging my time to help more
Jennifer Takagi:people. So I was like, Okay, I'm gonna do this. Well, I started
Jennifer Takagi:building it out in December, did a little soft launch in January.
Jennifer Takagi:Then February. That was it. I started charging. Several people
Jennifer Takagi:are in the group getting great results. And I love it. I love
Jennifer Takagi:it. $49 a month. What is that? Like? I don't know, to large
Jennifer Takagi:Starbucks a week. It's pretty minimal for amazing results. So
Jennifer Takagi:what is standing in your way? What is seeing you in your way?
Jennifer Takagi:What is holding you back? What is holding you back from your
Jennifer Takagi:highest level of success? Sometimes it's that lack
Jennifer Takagi:mindset, that lack of abundance, that I can never do that. I
Jennifer Takagi:can't afford that and then Yeah, throw judgment on it. I love to
Jennifer Takagi:fly first class and if I decide I don't really want think it's
Jennifer Takagi:worth first class for that flight. I'll go down to the next
Jennifer Takagi:level. And somebody said, Oh my gosh, how do you do that? And I
Jennifer Takagi:was like, Well, I get on the plane, either first or early. I
Jennifer Takagi:typically have my luggage for free, depending on the airlines
Jennifer Takagi:that can be 5060 75 bucks each way. No, I've never learned to
Jennifer Takagi:travel with only a carry on. And I don't intend to start now. And
Jennifer Takagi:I get taken care of, and I like it. So what is it that you would
Jennifer Takagi:just like to do? Be because you would enjoy it. Not everything
Jennifer Takagi:has to be about a hard thing, or I don't deserve it. God put us
Jennifer Takagi:here to live our highest and best life and bring glory to
Jennifer Takagi:Him. So what is standing in your way of reaching your highest
Jennifer Takagi:level of success? Do you want the next promotion? Do you want
Jennifer Takagi:to bring in more clients? I don't know if you're an
Jennifer Takagi:entrepreneur, a corporate business person, a federal
Jennifer Takagi:employee, which I used to be corporate and federal, and now
Jennifer Takagi:I'm an entrepreneur. What is it that you want to achieve? And do
Jennifer Takagi:you have this feeling? This little nagging feeling that
Jennifer Takagi:there's something holding you back? I often hear people say, I
Jennifer Takagi:don't want to talk about my past. You know, why do we have
Jennifer Takagi:to go back to childhood? That stupid? I don't want to do it.
Jennifer Takagi:And I don't want to relive it. No, I, I survived the past and
Jennifer Takagi:I'm moving forward. And then you see some of their behaviors. And
Jennifer Takagi:you'll wonder, did you really move past that? Or is it hanging
Jennifer Takagi:on for dear life, impacting the choices that you make? I've done
Jennifer Takagi:a lot of work on myself. So let me just tell you, it can be
Jennifer Takagi:work. It can be hard, but it doesn't have to be. It doesn't
Jennifer Takagi:have to be what is standing in your way. Were you that kid that
Jennifer Takagi:got up to do show and tell and everybody laughed at you. And
Jennifer Takagi:now you say, Oh, I can't be a public speaker. Everybody will
Jennifer Takagi:laugh at me. It may not be a conscious thought. But it's
Jennifer Takagi:there. It's there. And it's impacting all the choices and
Jennifer Takagi:decisions that you make. What if we can identify a trapped
Jennifer Takagi:emotion holding you back and clear it quickly, easily and
Jennifer Takagi:without having to relive the trauma? How does that sound? I
Jennifer Takagi:often ask how do you clear that out? Well, it's with intention.
Jennifer Takagi:You set the intention, I set the intention and jointly, we clear
Jennifer Takagi:it out. I like using a deep breath. Let's take a deep breath
Jennifer Takagi:in. And when we exhale, we're going to clear that out. And I
Jennifer Takagi:love to use the idea of a cloud, like whatever that emotion is,
Jennifer Takagi:maybe it's despair. And it's like, okay, just envision either
Jennifer Takagi:despair written on top of a cloud or the word within the
Jennifer Takagi:cloud, like the cloud is forming the word. Take a deep breath in
Jennifer Takagi:and exhale. And when you exhale, that cloud does dissipate. And
Jennifer Takagi:when that cloud dissipates, so just the despair, it goes with
Jennifer Takagi:you or away from you. It's just gone. Some people feel an
Jennifer Takagi:immediate sense of relief. Some people feel more peace, like
Jennifer Takagi:instantly. Other people, it can take a few days, and that's
Jennifer Takagi:fine. Whatever it takes to clear it out. Other people have asked
Jennifer Takagi:me, What do I have to do? This same event in there was actually
Jennifer Takagi:important wire to Mexico. One of the people who was one of the
Jennifer Takagi:leaders and coordinators of the event was allergic to cats. And
Jennifer Takagi:there had been cats in the apartment that he was staying
Jennifer Takagi:in. And the poor guy had the brightest blue eyes, and they
Jennifer Takagi:were blood shot and puffy, and he was miserable. Because he's
Jennifer Takagi:allergic to cats. He was eating breakfast and I, I went up and
Jennifer Takagi:sat down across from me and I said, Hey, and he goes, Hey,
Jennifer Takagi:Jennifer, what do you need? And I said, I don't need anything. I
Jennifer Takagi:just want to take care of these cat allergies. And he said his
Jennifer Takagi:spoon down and he was so gentle and calm. And he says, right,
Jennifer Takagi:what do you need me to do? And I said, Oh, I just need you to sit
Jennifer Takagi:there and look cute and eat your breakfast. And he goes, Wait,
Jennifer Takagi:what? I don't have to like do anything and I was like, No, you
Jennifer Takagi:do not have to do anything. You can just sit there and look
Jennifer Takagi:cute. Let me take care of this.
Jennifer Takagi:30 minutes later, his eyes were as clear as the bill. I went up
Jennifer Takagi:to his sister and I said, Hey, have you run into your brother
Jennifer Takagi:lately? And she was like, no, why? And I said, Well, I just
Jennifer Takagi:want you to be surprised when you see him. That was in
Jennifer Takagi:November of 2022. I spoke to him into June 1 of July of 2023. He
Jennifer Takagi:has been around cats multiple times, and he has not been
Jennifer Takagi:allergic at all. He has no response whatsoever. So when the
Jennifer Takagi:question is, do I have to do anything? No, you don't. If you
Jennifer Takagi:believe that you can be helped, that you can be cured, that you
Jennifer Takagi:can be healed that you can be better than you were five
Jennifer Takagi:minutes ago. That's helpful. But are you still gonna get some
Jennifer Takagi:sort of relief? Typically? Yes. Typically, yes. I had someone
Jennifer Takagi:tell me what, I don't really know that I need to work with
Jennifer Takagi:you. Because I haven't really had trauma with a capital T.
Jennifer Takagi:I've had some trauma with a lowercase t, but not big trauma.
Jennifer Takagi:The little traumas impact you also. And sometimes a whole
Jennifer Takagi:bunch of little disappointments can turn you into a person who
Jennifer Takagi:don't want to be clear them out. Let's identify them and let them
Jennifer Takagi:go quickly and easily. Quickly and easily. That's like the big
Jennifer Takagi:deal. Do you need to relive the trauma? No, you do not. I had a
Jennifer Takagi:call with a client, we identified an age that this
Jennifer Takagi:particular emotion occurred. And I said, Do you know what
Jennifer Takagi:happened? And she said, No. And I said, Great. Don't worry about
Jennifer Takagi:it. Don't think about it again. Let's just clear this out. And
Jennifer Takagi:we did. Another client said, Yes, I know what happened. That
Jennifer Takagi:was like conversation. She knew what it was. She didn't want to
Jennifer Takagi:talk about it. She didn't want to mention it. And that's fine.
Jennifer Takagi:You don't have to, you can share with me not share with me.
Jennifer Takagi:Whatever you choose to do. But often I find clients don't
Jennifer Takagi:remember what happened. Or like I'll say, Oh, well, something
Jennifer Takagi:happened at 10. And are like 10. That was so long ago. I don't
Jennifer Takagi:remember what happened at 10. You don't have to remember. And
Jennifer Takagi:you don't have to spend any time or energy trying to remember,
Jennifer Takagi:like you don't have to you absolutely don't have to. I have
Jennifer Takagi:other people who are like I don't want to work in a group
Jennifer Takagi:setting. I don't care that it's only $49 a month. I don't want
Jennifer Takagi:to be in a group. I want one on one. Perfect. If you prefer one
